We are doing business for warehouse rental which there are 15 rooms. Currently, each warehouse rooms have been damaged, so, we have engaged a contractor to maintain which it will make soil reclamation to ground higher and pour the concrete. The contractor charged the maintenance Baht 150,000 per room, can such be recognized as expenses?
Panwa: The case of the above warehouses maintenance by pouring concrete to be used as before is the maintenance to contain original condition which can be recognized as expenses in all of payment accounting period, it isn’t the non-deductible expense according to the Revenue Code section no. 65 ter (5). The case of soil reclamation for ground higher is the part with land; such expenses are considered as capital expenditure that needs to be included with the land value, it isn’t subjected as expenses.
