This year, I already stayed 181 days in Thailand and I would like to apply and receive a Tax residential document. I stayed here on a tourist visa and have no Thai-based income. From the above information, can I apply for a Tax Residence Certificate?
Panwa: Yes of course, you can apply for Tax Residence Certificate (TRC) but before you can apply TRC, one of the requirements is you must apply TIN and file the Personal Income Tax (PIT) first, which for step of applying TIN you must have the address in Thailand by rental or own by yourself and must brought the income to Thailand too, such as if you have bank account in Thailand (which the interest from such bank can also be considered as income).
